Automation and AI Implementation
Organisations can leverage on Automation and AI to achieve greater success. Automation is the use of technology or programmes to perform tasks with a minimal level of human effort, and to execute predefined tasks using rules and processes. In contrast, AI trains itself on big data to learn patterns, and to make recommendations and improvements over time.
A use case example would be a manufacturer using AI for the predictive maintenance of the machinery in their factory. Sensors would collect operational data from the machinery. This data is fed into a data repository. An AI model is then used to analyse the data to detect anomalies, identify which components will fail, and predict when the machinery will break down.
